The “Come Back Alive” Foundation, in partnership with the Ukrainian brand Gunia Project, has created an unconventional calendar — not for the upcoming year of 2026, but for a year already lived through.
This is neither nostalgia nor a summary. It is a record of 365 days of unjustified expectations, endless conversations, and negotiations that failed to deliver the desired results.
At the same time, it serves as a clear reminder: in the war launched by Russia against Ukraine, nothing is decided by words, pauses, or faith in “any moment now.” Peace comes only when evil is finally punished.
Calendar Concept
The calendar captures five moments that seemed pivotal — from Trump’s inauguration to the talks in Alaska. Yet each of these dates once again proved that Russia’s words cannot be trusted and that the enemy does not stop on its own. It is stopped only by resistance and strength.
“We do not react to news or believe in loud statements — we believe in systematic daily work. The ‘Come Back Alive’ Foundation has been supporting the military since 2014, and we see that, despite everything, the clearest point of reference is the situation on the front line.
That is why in 2025 the Foundation did not wait for others’ decisions and did not pause, because despite the promised negotiations, the pace of hostilities did not slow down.
The only choice is to keep working and supporting our military. To do our part and stand by our own,” says Taras Chmut, Director of the Foundation.

The year 2025 became a period when the world once again held its breath in anticipation — of inaugurations, statements, meetings, and negotiations. These expectations had very real consequences: Ukrainians donated less than usual, hesitated over mobilization, businesses postponed support, and international partners made decisions on military aid more cautiously. This pause in action translated into time gained by the enemy.
“This year turned out to be so emotionally intense that the idea of the ‘Come Back Alive’ Foundation team to create a calendar as a way to reflect on what we had lived through immediately resonated with our team as well. We believe it is crucial to remember: the path to victory does not exist on its own — it is made up of our daily actions,” says Maria Havryliuk, co-founder and CEO of Gunia Project.
The physical form of the calendar reinforces this message. It is a silver metal plate engraved on both sides. The front features the image of Saint George the Dragon Slayer as a symbol of action, struggle, and dignity. On the reverse, surrounding the sun — a sign of the continuous movement of life — are the dates that became symbols of shattered hopes. The stand is made of fired, heat-resistant clay from different regions of Ukraine, serving as a reminder of the homeland.
The “Do Your Work” calendar is not a commercial product and will not be available for sale. Only 100 copies were produced, to be presented on special occasions to key stakeholders of the Foundation as a symbol and a reminder of responsibility: not to wait, not to freeze, and not to rely on illusions — but to act.
