"Come Back Alive" and OKKO hand over 600 weapons to the army
The Come Back Alive Foundation and OKKO chain have handed over to the army all the weapons they purchased as part of the initiative “An Eye for an Eye 2. Arm TDF to the Teeth”.
We are talking about 600 units of collective infantry weapons:
- 300 82 mm mortars;
- 200 large-caliber machine guns;
- 100 automatic grenade launchers of 40 mm caliber.
The last 50 40-mm automatic grenade launchers have recently been delivered to eight brigades of the Territorial Defense Forces as part of the project. Namely: The 103rd, 105th, 108th, 109th, 116th, 117th, 121st, and 122nd Brigades.
“Grenade launchers are effective for both defense and offense. They are a good, reliable, time-tested weapon that can be mounted on armored vehicles, pickup trucks or inside a trench to work on the enemy from the front lines. Grenade launchers, machine guns and mortars are a constant need for all branches and types of forces, as they are often lost in active combat. The Foundation, with the support of business and people, buys weapons and strengthens the Defense Forces,” said Oleh Karpenko, Deputy Director of the Come Back Alive Foundation.
Earlier, the Come Back Alive Foundation and OKKO raised UAH 400 million for weapons for the Defense Forces in April-December 2023.
Last year, the military received all 200 12.7 mm machine guns and 50 grenade launchers. In March 2024, 300 82-mm mortars were delivered to the military.
As part of the “Eye for an Eye 2” project, the weapons were delivered to the soldiers of the 31st Brigade of the Defense Forces.
As a reminder, the Come Back Alive Foundation and OKKO are currently raising UAH 500 million for the Air Assault Forces as part of the third joint project, Eye for an Eye 3. The units of the Air Assault Forces will receive 10 combat Pullstrons – reconnaissance and destruction systems worth UAH 50 million each. Each Pullstron will include attack and reconnaissance drones, transport, communications, and everything necessary for control.
