Come Back Alive Foundation Launches “Arkan” Drone Interceptor School
The Come Back Alive Foundation is launching a new project — the “Arkan” Drone Interceptor School. Its goal is to systematically scale the training capabilities of crews tasked with intercepting enemy aerial targets.
Preparatory work for the school began in the summer of 2025. Since then, the foundation has provided support to the military unit worth over UAH 11,000,000.
This amount includes, in particular, training classrooms, instructor and drone training complexes, simulators, and ground stations — everything necessary for a comfortable, safe, and effective learning process.
Why this matters
Russia is extensively using reconnaissance and strike drones across Ukraine. One of the most accessible and effective ways to counter these attacks is through interceptor drones.
However, having the equipment alone does not guarantee results. The key to effectiveness is having a sufficient number of well-trained crews.
This is not about individual operators, but about a coordinated team. Such a team ensures the full operational cycle — from detecting an aerial target to neutralizing it. Without systematic training of each element within the team, achieving consistent results is impossible.
How the school works
The “Arkan” Drone Interceptor School trains participants in two directions simultaneously — detection and interception. The program is designed to prepare not just individual specialists, but fully coordinated crews ready for operational deployment.
The training program includes:
- Centralized and systematic preparation of drone and radar operators;
- Formation of complete crews with clearly defined roles;
- Integration of operational tasks into the training process under the guidance of experienced instructors;
- Official documentation of the training (VOS).
The “Arkan” School is primarily an investment in people. The skill level of personnel is a critically important component of an effective air defense system.
