Czech initiative Dárek pro Putina donates UAH 8.3 million to “Dronefall”: 86 interceptors already protecting Ukraine

Безпілотники для українського війська

The Czech civic initiative Dárek pro Putina has joined the “Dronefall” project run by the Come Back Alive Foundation, raising UAH 8,310,000 to counter enemy drones. With these funds, the Foundation has purchased and delivered 86 Sting FPV interceptor drones to a Special Purpose Unmanned Systems Unit of the 22nd Brigade of the National Guard of Ukraine.

The unit protects civilians and critical infrastructure across the country, countering drone attacks that Russia widely employs in its war against Ukraine.

“We sympathize with the people of Ukraine who are being terrorized by ‘Mordor’ from the East. This is one way to help them sleep a little more peacefully. All our fundraising campaigns for interceptor drones were completed with impressive speed. This shows strong interest among ordinary people in the Czech Republic in how Ukrainians are living. We stand with you!” said Jan Polák, co-founder of the initiative.

What is “Dronefall” and why it matters

“Dronefall” is a project of the Come Back Alive Foundation aimed at systematically destroying enemy drones in the air. Its goal is not only to respond to attacks, but to reduce their overall number.

In the war in which Russia attacked Ukraine, drones are used extensively — from reconnaissance to strike UAVs. They are used to adjust artillery fire, target equipment and infrastructure, and pose a direct threat to civilian cities. That is why countering drones has become a critical component of modern defense.

FPV interceptor drones offer a fast and relatively low-cost way to destroy aerial targets. They:

  • intercept reconnaissance and attack drones
  • reduce the burden on traditional air defense systems
  • enable rapid response directly at the front line
  • are significantly cheaper than air defense missiles while remaining effective against mass drone attacks

Support from the Czech Republic

Cooperation with Dárek pro Putina is a clear example of how European civil society contributes not only to Ukraine’s security, but to global security as well.

The initiative consistently raises funds for Ukraine’s defense needs, bringing together thousands of people across the Czech Republic. The campaign in support of “Dronefall” was completed very quickly, demonstrating a high level of trust and a strong understanding of the project’s importance.

The 86 interceptors delivered are not just a number — they represent a tangible contribution to protecting Ukrainian cities, infrastructure, and, most importantly, lives.

The Come Back Alive Foundation is grateful to Dárek pro Putina and the people of the Czech Republic for their support.

You can support “Dronefall” to help reduce the number of enemy drones in the sky — and make Ukrainian cities safer.
