We are scaling up a project with the Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Defense Intelligence of Ukraine (DIU) that in October alone inflicted millions of dollars in losses on the enemy. Together with blogger Ihor Lachenkov, we are raising UAH 230,000,000 to reduce the offensive potential of the occupying state.

“Come Back Alive” together with blogger Ihor Lachenkov, raised UAH 230 million from November 15 to December 12, 2022, for the secret “Black Box” project for the Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Defense Intelligence of Ukraine (DIU). The project became a scale-up of a previous, likewise secret initiative for the DIU, with a total cost of UAH 40 million.

On November 16, 2023, “Come Back Alive” revealed one of the components of the “Black Box.” In particular, it reported that in 2022 it had purchased Ukrainian-made “Bober” unmanned aerial vehicles for the the Defense Intelligence of Ukraine.

According to the Main Directorate of Intelligence, during the first eight months of 2023 “Black Box” caused the enemy losses of more than USD 900 million. The “Bober” successfully carried out missions in Crimea, in the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine, and against military facilities on enemy territory. For example, it struck a key enterprise of the enemy’s military-industrial complex — a plant producing electronics for Х-31, Х-35 and Х-59 missiles launched from tactical aviation aircraft. It also hit a storage facility where the Russians kept missile components for Iskander ballistic missile systems.

“In fact, ‘Black Box’ is the Foundation’s first major investment in Ukrainian long-range kamikaze drones,” comments Taras Chmut, Director of “Come Back Alive.” “Back in the summer of 2022, we purchased 10 UAVs from the manufacturer for UAH 40 million, funded by donations to our general accounts. When we saw that they delivered good results, we decided to scale up the project, expand production, and launched a public fundraiser. Thanks to trust in the Foundation, we raised UAH 230 million in less than a month. We added another UAH 10 million from the general accounts as well. The Foundation’s team is very satisfied with the result, because overall UAH 280 million has already caused the enemy losses of more than USD 900 million. This is a colossal result in reducing the offensive potential of the occupying forces!”

The fundraising campaign for the “Black Box” project brought together the entire Ukrainian society — citizens and businesses alike, including companies such as PLVision, EVA, Intellias, COMFY, Sombra, Uptech, MTI hi-tech distribution, Uklon, ELEKS, and others.
