‘Sky for birds, not for drones’: Leléka has launched a fundraising campaign supporting the Dronefall project

Sky-for-birds

The artist Leléka has joined efforts to support the Dronefall project run by the Come Back Alive Foundation.

Leléka called on the creative community to support the fundraiser so that Ukraine’s skies are filled only with birds — not enemy wings.

“I see myself first and foremost as a Ukrainian artist, and my work is inseparable from an understanding of what is happening in Ukraine. This topic is deeply personal: I was born in Shakhtarske, Dnipropetrovsk region, currently less than 45 km from the frontline, where residents regularly hear drones flying overhead. Protection from drones means saving lives in peaceful cities,”

 – the singer said.

Russia continues to attack Ukraine, relying heavily on drone warfare to destroy infrastructure, businesses, and homes in peaceful cities — and most importantly, to kill Ukrainians. On May 13–14 Russia launched 1,428 drones of various types across Ukraine. Most regions of the country were targeted, and in the capital alone, 24 people were killed, including 3 children.

Since 2024, Dronefall has been helping Ukraine’s military counter Russian drones more effectively, protect civilian lives, and safeguard critical infrastructure.

As part of the initiative, the Come Back Alive Foundation procures FPV interceptor drones — relatively inexpensive, high-speed UAVs adapted to destroy enemy drones mid-air. Beyond supplying the interceptors themselves, Come Back Alive is building a comprehensive drone-interception ecosystem by providing technical infrastructure, training specialized operator teams, and delivering additional equipment, such as upgraded pickup trucks, radios, night-vision devices, UPS systems, Starlink terminals, signal repeaters, and portable power stations.

As of May 2026, military units participating in the project have successfully downed more than 33,000 Russian strike and reconnaissance drones, including 5,000 Shahed-type ones. In the first two weeks of May alone, they neutralized 1,773 UAVs attacking Ukraine. By the end of 2026, the project aims to reach at least 50,000 enemy drones downed.

Join the effort to save lives in peaceful cities. Every donation strengthens the shield protecting Ukraine and brings the country closer to the sky free of drones — and open once again to birds alone.
