The Foundation has collected almost UAH 7 million in fines from Ukrainian armaments manufacturers
The “Come Back Alive” Foundation for Competent Assistance to the Army has received UAH 6,840,800 from Ukrainian arms manufacturers under three contracts as a result of fines imposed on them.
One of the manufacturers paid a fine of UAH 1,770,800. The other provided goods worth UAH 5,000,000 and a discount on the purchase of the next batch of weapons.
This was due to the fact that the arms manufacturers violated the terms of their contracts, in particular, the delivery time of grenade launchers and mortars.
“The Come Back Alive team cherishes every donation you make. We are looking for the most favorable terms and prices and monitoring compliance with the agreements. After all, your hryvnia is our responsibility,” the Foundation said in a statement on Facebook.
As a reminder, “Come Back Alive” raised more than UAH 12 billion to help the Ukrainian Defense Forces from February 24, 2022, to July 11, 2024. In total, the organization received more than 3 million donations from benefactors during this time. The average donation amount is UAH 3,530.59, including contributions from businesses.
“Come Back Alive” is the first charitable organization in Ukraine to receive permission to import military and dual-use goods, including lethal weapons. The foundation purchased for the army, among other things, a Bayraktar TB2 aircraft system, a hundred sniper rifles, 12 armored vehicles, and 4692 units of collective infantry weapons, including mortars, grenade launchers, and machine guns.
