The “Come Back Alive” Foundation for Competent Assistance to the Army together with the Gas Transmission System Operator of Ukraine provided the 118th Separate Mechanized Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine with vehicles and equipment worth UAH 13,238,883.3.

The military received 10 new Mitsubishi L-200 pickup trucks and sets of winter tires, 20 DJI Mavic 3E daytime drones and 5 DJI Mavic 3T nighttime drones with battery packs, as well as 20 thermal imagers.

“Reliable transportation, thermal imagers and drones mean efficiency on the battlefield and greater security for our military. They are always in need of these essential basic things. The 118th Mechanized Brigade fought in one of the hottest areas of the Ukrainian Defense Forces’ summer counter-offensive campaign, the Melitopol direction. And now it continues to fight. At the request of the military, we are reinforcing them with this equipment,” says Taras Chmut, director of the Come Back Alive initiative.

In 2024, the Come Back Alive Foundation and the Ukrainian GTS Operator plan to continue working together to provide the Armed Forces with the necessary assistance.

“The Ukrainian GTS Operator is making significant efforts to support the Armed Forces and the Security and Defense Forces, and, of course, its mobilized employees. The company helps with both special equipment and ammunition for the military. Thanks to the courage and resilience of our defenders, we are able to continue our professional work. I am grateful to the “Come Back Alive” team for their prompt and efficient work. This is our joint contribution to improving the combat capability of the Armed Forces of Ukraine,” said Dmytro Lyppa, General Director of the OGTSU.

As a reminder, in just 97 days of winter-spring 2023, the Come Back Alive Foundation spent more than UAH 2 billion to help the Defense Forces. In preparation for the offensive campaign, these funds were used to purchase weapons and pickup trucks, optics, communications and aerial reconnaissance equipment for the Ukrainian army.
