Navy command changed the fleet table of organization to implement "Come Back Alive" project
The Come Back Alive Foundation provided all Navy divisions with off-road vehicles, and also handed over radios and other equipment to the sailors for a total amount of almost 18 million UAH. The table of organization of the Ukrainian Navy was changed specifically for this purpose.
The team of the Foundation reported this on their official Facebook page.
“Prior to that, the divisions did not have any off-road vehicles on their table of organization to support boats, vessels, and ships. The Foundation suggested the Naval command make changes to the table of organization. After this option was considered by the General Staff we provided units with vehicles,”stated Andrii Rymaruk, the Head of the Foundation`s Military Department.
On the eve of Navy Day, the team of the Foundation handed over 15 new pickups, 220 portable Motorola radios with programming cables, and additional equipment to establish mobile command posts: backup power supplies, laptops, printers, monitors, and batteries. This will ensure all divisions of the Navy surface ships are provided with transport and secure communications.
“This is the first time vehicles have been provided to ships. Yet the number of tasks we have has increased since the enemy attacked. Now the Navy has established more stationing sites. That is why the support vehicles are very important to ensure we can accomplish our mission”stated the Commander of the Navy of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Vice Admiral Oleksii Neizhpapa.
The total value of the provided vehicles, hardware, and equipment is 17 950 306 UAH.
After the ceremony, Vice Admiral Oleksii Neizhpapa presented the representative of the Foundation with the commemorative badge of the commander and the award “For assistance to the Navy of the Armed Forces of Ukraine”.
For his part, Andriy Rymaruk added that the Foundation plans to keep cooperating with the Navy and congratulated everyone on the 30th anniversary of the Navy of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
